St. John's is at an important crossroads. Since November, we have been embarking on a process of looking to the future. I believe that future is bright, and full of opportunities for us to live into God's love and witness to our community. That process began with an all-church meeting where we outlined 5 aspirational goals for the future. This spring, we took those goals and formed a "Looking to the Future" Team which has begun exploring how we can live them out together. It has been an exciting process with several positive conversations. We are excited about our future!
The Looking to the Future Team needs your help. As we seek out the direction of the Holy Spirit, and prayerfully chart a path forward, we know we need to listen to your feedback on how you think we're doing as a church.
We are partnering with Barna Research Group to study trends, practices, and dynamics in the church through an all-church assessment. Starting May 5, the assessment will be available online or in paper form for everyone to complete. We need your feedback! We are looking at big opportunities, and Jesus tells us in Luke 14:28 that "If you want to build a tower, who wouldn't first sit down and count the cost."
So starting May 5, be sure to help us make this important measurement. The assessment consists of about 100 multiple choice questions. It'll take about 20 minutes to complete. The information we learn will be invaluable. Survey will be available until May 31.
Thank you for your help,
Pastor Josh, the staff, and the lay-leadership at St. John's
