Please join us in worship (either in person or online) on Sunday morning, May 23, 2021 for a joyous occasion as we celebrate Pentecost Sunday. We will commemorate the coming of the Holy Spirit upon the Apostles and other followers of Jesus Christ. Feel free to wear red clothing, to remember the tongues of fire.
We will celebrate and pray for the Holy Spirit to come and dwell among us during the Abide Service (at 9:30 a.m.) in the Family Life Center (FLC), and during the Traditional Service (at 11 a.m.) inside the Sanctuary. Additionally, multiple youth who are completing Confirmation classes this spring will join St. John’s United Methodist Church as Members.
“When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place. 2 Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting. 3 They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them. 4 All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues[a] as the Spirit enabled them.” (Acts 2: 1 -4, New International Version)
Let us share the love of Christ with all generations of our church family. If you have questions or compliments about the Confirmation classes or Youth Ministry Programs, please contact: Mr. Jarrod Conyers, Director of Youth Ministries, email: JConyers@stjohn-abq.org
